EyeHateGod sind eine Sludge-Band aus den USA. 1988 gründete Gitarrist Jimmy Bower die Metal-Combo und trotz reger Mitgliederwechsel in den ersten Jahren, bekam die Band einen Plattenvertrag für gleich sechs Alben. Und auch obwohl EyeHateGod international nicht so erfolgreich sind, wie andere Bands ihres Genre, gelten sie als bedeutsame Größe der Metal-Szene von New Orleans.
Nach dem verheerenden Wetterunglück 2005, als Hurrikane Katrina New Orleans unter Wasser setzte, kämpften auch die Mitglieder der Band mit persönlichen Katastrophen. Zerstörte Häuser, Finanzieller Ruin, Haft, Drogenabhängigkeit und Entzug.
Nachdem sich die Stadt und die Mitglieder von den Strapazen erholten, begannen EyeHateGod auch wieder vereinzelt Konzerte zu geben. 2013 fand die erste größere Tour in Europa statt. Nachdem die Band zurück war in den Staaten, starb eines der Mitglieder an Atemstillstand. Der Schlagzeuger war Asthmatiker und beklagte schon während der Tour Atemaussetzer.
Die Band machte trotz des Verlustes weiter und kommt trotz der gesundheitlichen Rückschläge von Sänger Mike Williams wieder auf Tour. EyHateGod Tickets gibt es bei Ticketmaster.
