Sechs Jahre nach dem letzten Österreich-Konzert kommen The Cure 2022 endlich wieder live nach Wien. Am 23. Oktober 2022 spielt die Kultband in der Marx Halle. Support gibt es von The Twighlight Sad.

Gegründet wurde die Band vor 43 Jahren in Crawley, Sussex. Seitdem spielte The Cure bisher rund 1500 Konzerte, 13 Studio-Alben und Konzertfilme wurden veröffentlicht, diverse Soundtrack-Songs geliefert und ganze 40 Singles wurden über all die Jahre veröffentlicht, darunter absolute Klassiker der Musikgeschichte wie "Friday I'm in Love" und "Boys Don't Cry". Im Laufe der Jahre waren 13 Musiker Mitglieder von The Cure. 2019 wurde The Cure in die Rock´n´Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen.
